Following the establishment of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine in 2012 at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the licenses for two departments, traditional medicine and traditional pharmacy, were obtained. Subsequently, the license for a master's degree program in medicinal history was acquired from the Council of the Development of Medical Sciences in 2013, with an initial intake of 5 students. Currently, the group's educational and research programs benefit from regular and organized planning, as well as the involvement of distinguished professors from both within and outside the university, including other universities. The group is particularly focused on aligning its activities with the macro-health policies outlined by the Supreme Leader, especially in relation to Article 12, which pertains to traditional medicine and its related disciplines. The group is dedicated to implementing the Supreme Leader's directives and pursuing educational objectives and programs with utmost seriousness. Based on the group's strategic plan and the potential within the department's technical and specialized body, we aim to acquire a specialized doctoral accreditation in this field from the relevant authorities in the upcoming years.
